Fun-filled special events are what really sets Shorewood apart from other community pools. Several times each season we host family swim parties and themed events to help celebrate summer in Madison. |

| Family Swim |
Friday evenings from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, June 20th to July 25th.
The pool is configured in a short course format, with the lap lanes placed in the middle of the pool. This provides for a large area of open swim opportunity in the shallow end of the pool. Families can gather together and have a great time in this wide-open format. |

| Food Drive |
| How would you like to win a free pool membership for next year? We hold our food drive throughout June and July, giving out a raffle ticket for each food donation made. A drawing is then held at the Water Ballet Show, and one winner is identified for a free pool membership for the following summer. It’s a great way to make a valuable donation when many people are not thinking of such issues. We have had great success in the last few years, and would like to see it continue to grow even more. |

| Family Float Nights |
Sunday July 6th and Aug 17th from 6:00 PM - 7:50 PM
TBA. These are nights where we will provide tubes and rafts that may be used for relaxation in the water. We will play some soothing summertime music over the PA system and will enjoy an evening of floating through the pool. You are also welcome to bring your own floats to the event. (They must be of a reasonable size, be clean, and have never been used in a lake or stream). |

| Water Ballet Show and Ice Cream Social |
Sunday July 20th at 8:45 PM.
The water ballerinas have been working hard all summer to prepare for this year’s show. Gather your friends and family and come down to the pool to witness this year’s grand event. To get the evening started, the Shorewood League sponsors an ice cream social outside the pool featuring spectacular Chocolate Shop ice cream sundaes. The social starts 2 hours before the show. |

| Adult Pool Party |
Saturday, July 26th from 7:00 PM to midnight
TBA. How about an evening at the pool for adults only? There is something special about being at the pool under the lights on a beautiful summer night. Add all of your favorite friends, food, and drink, and you’ve got the perfect summer night. Come on down for an evening that you won’t soon forget! Please register at the pool so we can plan accordingly. |

| Family Fun Night |
Sunday August 24 at 5:00 PM
This event is a long-standing tradition at the Shorewood Hill Pool. Please bring your family and join us for an evening of organized family activities, followed by a potluck dinner at the pool. Events include a greased watermelon contest, penny dives for the kids, numerous one-of-a-kind relay races, and much more. You don’t want to miss this one! |

| Cow Dive Contest |
Sunday August 31st at 3:00 PM
TBA. This event is held on the last weekend of the pool season. The coveted Cow Dive has been refined to great extents over many years at the Shorewood Hills Pool, and our staff is just itching to teach you the sport. You have all summer to perfect and refine your skills. The competition features 3 dives per participant and will offer unique prizes to our competitors. Ask any of the Lifeguards for some advice and you will be cow-diving in no time. |
